Position Summary
Adjunct Faculty - Forensic DNA Analysis

The School of Health Sciences at Lasell University is seeking a part-time faculty member for Forensic DNA Analysis Lecture and Laboratory sections during the upcoming semester. The School of Health Sciences offers Forensic Science courses for students majoring in biology, biochemistry, health science, and forensic science.

Current Openings include:
  • Forensic DNA Analysis Lecture
    • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:45 am
  • Forensic DNA Analysis Lab
    • Tuesdays, 3:30 - 6:30 pm

All listings are for in-person classes that are already scheduled. Course times cannot be adjusted, as students are already registered for the courses.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Master's degree in forensic science or a related field required, doctorate preferred.
  • Experience with forensic DNA analysis, DNA profiling, and evidence interpretation within a crime lab.
  • Experience teaching forensic science courses at the college level desired.
  • Proficiency in maintaining an organized Canvas page and ability to deliver engaging course material.
  • Provide instruction for all sessions of assigned courses utilizing the college philosophy of connected learning.
  • Provide a syllabus and course outline to students that clearly communicates course learning outcomes.
  • Maintain office hours each week and timely communications with students via email and phone.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress (grades) and complete mid-semester and final grade reports.
